ETHICS

We are proudly:

We support women:

NEEV, which means ‘foundation’ in Hindi, gives 50% of its profits to charities that reflect our funding goal, such as Power of Love Foundation to support women impacted by HIV/AIDS in Zambia. We are dedicated to helping finance projects aimed at empowering women, especially those in the developing world.

Our founder, Ruksana:

  • is a board member at Stagebridge, a 501 c (3) non-profit in Oakland, CA, whose mission is to transform the lives of older adults and their communities through the performing arts.
  • has taken the Founders Pledge.

With your purchases of NEEV products, we will do even more.

B Corp

We founded NEEV in 2013 as one of the first 50 California Benefit Corporations defining our purpose and ensuring legally binding transparency and accountability. Becoming a certified B Corp also validates our commitment to social and environmental justice. The B Corp assessment is a great way of measuring our impact. NEEV’s B Corp assessment report is available to the public and our GIIRS report is available to investors.

Pledge 1%

Pledge 1% is a corporate philanthropy movement dedicated to making the community a key stakeholder in every business. Pledge 1% encourages and challenges individuals and companies to pledge 1% of equity, product, and employee time for their communities.

At Neev, we believe in being involved in and giving back to our local communities too. That is why our founder, Ruksana Azhu Valappil, has taken the Founder's Pledge, to make a positive social change in the California Bay area.  Founder's Pledge and Pledge 1% is a new approach to philanthropy that makes contributing to social causes part of any company’s DNA. Any and all combination of 1% of equity, product and employee time is dedicated towards driving change in Education, Economic Opportunity, Environment, and Health via innovative Bay Area nonprofits.
